As you may be aware, we recently rolled out some exciting new features to your off-site status page. In the coming weeks, I’ll be highlighting some of these and taking a closer look at how each may be used to enhance your experience with StatusKeeper and hopefully make your job a little easier.
At StatusKeeper, it has become kind of a slogan: “Downtime happens.” We use this phrase to remind current and potential customers that no system or site is perfect and you need to be ready for the inevitable; your systems being offline. In some cases, the good ones, you’ll know about this ahead of time. Planned maintenance or scheduled downtime for work on servers, hardware and software will always be necessary.
Now, with Scheduled Notifications, you can select “Effective Now” or “Effective Later” with each new notification. Select the “Effective Later” option and enter the dates and times for the message and component status code to go live. Your subscribed users will receive the necessary “heads-up” and your engineers can get to their work. Simply add a second Scheduled Notification with the appropriate date, time, and status code to return to normal at the end of the maintenance window. “Set it, and forget it.”
We’re here to help minimize the impact any downtime has on your business. Keeping your customers, users and teams informed with an easy to use, attractive, integrated, off-site status page hosted by StatusKeeper, is a big step towards that goal.
We look forward to working with you!
